The Carbon Footprint is a very important indicator of the level of sustainable awareness that people and companies have, so at LOSDI we have taken a step forward calculating and recording our Carbon Footprint to reduce and compensate for it in the coming years. If you don’t know what the Carbon Footprint is, read this article!
We call Carbon Footprint to the greenhouse gases which occur during the normal development of society’s activity.
Although we are not aware, many of the actions we carry out in our day have a direct or indirect impact on the volume of greenhouse gases that we emit to the atmosphere. These gases are the main precursors of climate change through global warming.
That is why it is so important that both individuals and companies start a path of self-knowledge and determination to reduce and compensate for the environmental effect that results from the normal development of our professional activity.
And the first step on that path is the calculation and recording of the Carbon Footprint.
In this sense, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of the Government of Spain launched a plan to alleviate this situation that consists of these three steps:
- Calculate.
- Calculate.
- Compensate.
At LOSDI we are proud to have started this path, and to have calculated and recorded our Carbon Footprint in 2020.
We continue to give it all to provide the best service to our customers and thus improve hygiene in all public spaces, but without forgetting to take care of the planet that welcomes us.
During this year 2022, and following in the footsteps of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, we have implemented a mechanism to reduce our Carbon Footprint based on the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate action.
Our commitment is clear, we want to be a responsible company with the hygiene sector through the quality and design of our dispensers, but without that represents a setback in the sustainable development of the Planet. On the contrary, our commitment is to improve the quality of life and health of both society and the planet itself.
