Sustainability is playing a very important role today because of the recent increase in symptoms that make climate change evident. But the news is not that it is evident, but that it can become irreversible. This is how the UN Sustainable Development Goals are born that go beyond the environmental level.
The Sustainable Development Goals are part of the sustainability strategy of the UN 2030 Agenda that materializes a multilaterally agreed action plan in favor of people, the planet and prosperity.
In LOSDI we have bet very strongly on the inclusion of sustainability in our business philosophy, and to implement in a practical and simple way this new value within our roadmap, we have decided to use the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals are 17 interconnected targets for the elaboration of a plan that achieves a better and more sustainable future for all.
You can see what the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are and what each one consists of on the information page of the United Nations on the following link:
We decided to combine all our efforts to achieve 5 of these 17 goals since we consider that it is in them where we can make a greater impact thanks to our experience and knowledge. So the SDGs that are now part of our mission and vision are:
SDG 3 Good health and well-being
SDG 8 Decent work and economic growth
SDG 9 Industry, innovation and infrastructure
SDG 12 Responsible consumption and production
SDG 13 Climate action
We understand that sustainability is also a responsibility of companies, which must be concerned about generating a legacy of value to future generations.
